Role Description/Criteria

St Monica's College is a Catholic co-educational College (Years 7 - 12) serving the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ).

Our College is located on two metropolitan campuses in Epping and a rural campus, Ostia, in Strath Creek for spiritual retreat.Ìý Epping campuses are walking distance from each other and the Epping train station. The College has recently acquired an additional facility called the MacKillop Centre and a new Year 8 Campus in Reservoir.

A vacancy exists for a College Photographer and Promotions Officer. ÌýThis role will expect appropriate and advanced skills with an enterprising attitude. The successful applicant will be a member of the Promotions and Events Office. Ìý This position is full time, ongoing with flexible hours. ÌýSalary and conditions will be negotiated. This role commences 28 January 2025.

Duties include:

  • Photograph all College events, including ceremonies, sports events, and student activities
  • Capture candid and posed shots of students and staff for promotional materials
  • Edit, retouch and reference all photographs as per College requirements and ensure high-quality output
  • Maintain an organised archive of all photographs
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to provide images for social media, websites, and print materials
  • Ensure all photographic equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
  • Stay updated with the latest photography trends and techniques
  • Assist in the creation of visual content for College publications and promotional materials
  • Provide guidance and support to student photographers and interns
  • Support the work of the College archives as required
  • Assist College staff requiring digital images
  • Be an active contributor to the Promotions and Events Team and assist as requiredÌý
  • Availability necessary for paid out-of-hours College events.

Special Requirements

  • Driver License
  • Successful applicant will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check

Salary for this position is based on experience in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) as varied from time to time.
