Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our dynamic team at Kolbe Catholic College. Positions Details:

  • Commencement Date: January 2025
  • Position Type:  Full time ongoing

 

Position 1: Teacher of Mathematical Methods Units 3-4

  • Teach Mathematics including units 3 & 4 Mathematical Methods.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for assessments and ensure they meet academic benchmarks.

 

Position 2: Teacher of Physics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students across level 10 to 12.
  • Teach General Science and/or Mathematics across level 7 to 10.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for assessments and ensure they meet academic benchmarks.
  • Foster critical thinking and a love for science in the classroom.

 

Position 3: Teacher of Food Technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Food Technology to students across level 7 to 12.
  • Plan practical lessons focused on culinary skills, nutrition, and food safety.
  • Ensure a safe, hygienic, and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and manage practical assessments.

 

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • A strong commitment to Catholic education.
  • An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
  • An eagerness to learn.
  • An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Kolbe Catholic College promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
  • The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.
