Role Description/Criteria

MacKillop College invites experienced educators seeking a leadership position to support the Head of Campus in the stewardship of student wellbeing and Catholic identity.Ìý

This newly created position will be based at our St Mary’s campus located in Werribee South, approximately 15 km from the main campus in Werribee. To be successful in the role you will need aÌýdepth of knowledge within the rich Catholic tradition, and an ability to promote contemporary expressions of faith.Ìý

We also need an authentic role model, with an appreciation for the diversity and complexity of issues impacting young people, in particular those issues which may affect academic performance. This role will play a pivotal role in implementing wellbeing strategies, policy and processes that support student engagement and preparedness for learning.

Our ideal candidate will possess Ìý

  • a proven understanding of contemporary teaching in religious educationÌý
  • a proven understanding of the theological and philosophical underpinnings of the mission of Catholic educationÌý
  • an ability to cultivate respectful relationships between students, staff and families
  • ability to implement resolution processes and address student behaviour as required Ìý
  • excellent communication skills with a recognised ability to build authentic relationships Ìý

The successful applicant will commence Term 1, 2025.
