Role Description/Criteria

  • Correct placement of equipment in classrooms and storerooms.
  • Ensure safe operating procedures are documented, displayed and maintained, in particular during practical classes.
  • Monitor, order and manage materials as required by Visual Arts teaching staff.
  • Organise appropriate maintenance of equipment and follow up concerns with the Visual Arts staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of classrooms and storerooms.
  • Record and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Annual thorough cleaning of equipment.
  • Complete an annual stock-take of equipment.
  • Ensure all chemicals are handled and stored in accordance with material safety data sheets and safety data sheets are centrally maintained.
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing and footwear fit for this position eg. Non slip covered shoes.
  • Other duties as directed by the Deputy Principal Learning & Teaching or by the Principal or nominee.
  • Attend staff meetings as required
