Role Description/Criteria
The College invites applications from energetic, committed and suitably qualified teachers who are interested in working in a culturally rich and linguistically diverse Catholic school community.Ìý
This is an ongoing teaching position, starting in January 2025. The 0.6 FTE could be full time with a second method area, or with a Youth Ministry role.Ìý
The College is phasing in a sixth stream due to increased enrolment demand but continues to be a relatively small secondary school, where each student and staff member is known, valued and connected.Ìý
An understanding of Visible Learning, Curriculum Literacies, EAL informed teaching strategies, Restorative Practices and/or the Berry Street Education Model would be a distinct advantage.
Our staff are well supported through a strong collegial and collaborative staff culture; good systems for Performance Development and Coaching; a well document curriculum and teaching resources; clear whole school practices; and individual and whole school professional learning.
Postgraduate study is encouraged and the College contributes towards course fees for teachers undertaking studies. This includes 100% of course costs for study in Religious Education, Theology and areas linked to the School Improvement Plan, and 50% of costs in other areas.
Applications from primary trained teachers and staff interested in part time work will be considered, and we are open to exploring how job share might work in a secondary setting.Ìý
