Program Director – Wellbeing & Engagement– Geelong Campus

In 2025, the newly named Saints College - Geelong Campus, currently St Joseph’s Special Assistance School, is seeking experienced leaders to shape the future of our school during this exciting transition.Ìý

Since 2012, we have led the way in radically inclusive education, supporting students with diverse challenges. We are an inclusive school for 12–25 year-olds seeking an alternative to mainstream education. Our environment celebrates all abilities and backgrounds, providing transformative learning experiences catering to individual needs.Ìý

We operate multiple campuses located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED. In 2025, we will expand our offerings with the opening of three new campuses in Fitzroy North, Sunshine, and Bungaree, as part of our growth strategy to establish additional campuses in the future.

The young people we serve often face significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal, or familial challenges, which demand unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation by Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.

The Role:

It is an exciting time to join St Joseph’s as we are experiencing a period of substantial growth.

We are looking for a full time Program Director – Wellbeing & Engagement to join our team, based at the Geelong campus.

You will be employed on an ongoing basis, commencing ASAP or Term 1 2025, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022.

This position will attract a responsibility allowance for five years, until end of the 2029 school year.

You will need:

  • Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology and Behavioural Science and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and provide a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months)
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Well-developed understanding of the developmental needs of young people from a disadvantaged or disengaged perspectiveÌý
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in staff support, development and professional supervision in education within collaborative multidisciplinary team settings
