Role Description/Criteria

As a Catholic Primary School we value respect, responsibility, resilience and being safe in students and staff and we are seeking to employ a graduate or experienced and talented classroom teacher commencing Term 1 2025.

You must exude a passion for teaching, an excitement for seeing your students grow and learn, and be a real contributor to the learning and teaching life at SFX School.

The successful applicant be committed to:

* Teaching and learning within a Catholic Parish faith community and guiding students in their faith and Sacramental journey

* Be familiar with the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ Vision for Instruction and show elements of this approach in their daily teaching

* Plan a Learning and Teaching program that meets the needs of students so as to actively engage them in their learning

* Working collaboratively with other members of the Junior or Middle or Senior School team and then drive Maths learning and teaching at SFX School.

* Explicit teaching in Mathematics, extending students at their point of need and enabling them to reason and problem solve with fluency and confidence

* As a classroom teacher have a passion for Literacy improvement, demonstrating highly level knowledge and skills in reading / writing cycle which is responsive to student needs and improved student outcomes

* Planning Inquiry Learning that allows students to better understand and contribute to society and the world in which they live

Classroom teachers at SFX benefit from having preparation time in excess of CEMEA 2022 requirements due to the fact that we have seven specialist classes each week, a shared full time L.S.O in each level, and Intervention classes in English and Maths at each level.

V.I.T Registration

Accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Catholic School (would be a real advantage)

Experience and success in a Maths Leadership position may convert this to an ongoing position for the successful candidate.
